Green Christmas tree + Personalized Santa letter = to make a 'Dear Santa Plate'! This will come 6.5 in x 7 in to fit a Charger! The above is Sue's finished Plate....however, the package is Vinyl Only (what? she was the winner!)

7 trees for a Christmas Tree Lane! It will measure a total of 21 inches wide x 9 inches tall. I placed my Christmas Trees right about my sofa table last year and loved them to pieces! However, the trees will arrive separately, giving you a chance to place them wherever your heart desires!

This is what my neighbors will be getting this year (shhh! Don't tell!). Again, the package is vinyl only! However, it was super easy to paint this wood and apply this darling piece! A few favorite for sure!

T is for Thanks: This was quite the popular plate last year! The beige vinyl will measure 8 inches wide x 8.5 inches tall! I do love the plate; however, I think a frame w/ some fun fallish scrapbook paper in the back would be perfect!

I cannot believe that my last post was in NOVEMBER...my word, am I behind! However, I can believe that I have not had a spare moment to post on this blog since November :). Time to show a few projects as of late.

Meet my hall book shelf.

I have had mixed feelings about this book shelf since we have bought the house. Did it date the house or make it retro cool? hmmmm.... I did know that it needed some help, but wasn't sure where to start. I thought about knocking the shelves down and turning it into one giant magnet board. I'm sure glad I didn't do that. I started by painting the back of it chocolate brown.

Then I designed a fun pattern and stuck it up! And done.

We're about DUE for an update!

Baby time is coming super super soon! However, we have had a crazy busy month & totally neglected the nursery (forget about the other 8 months we had to prepare)! My wonderful handy hubby & I got ourselves busy and finally did the nursery! It's amazing what a little paint, wood, and VINYL can do!

Here are our afters:

I am so happy with how it turned out. My husband put up the bead board & square in no time! I had ordered a dark brown crib, but they shipped me a white one. Since we've put everything off for so long- I figured I would just settle for the white one. However, now that's it's done, I don't feel like I settled at all. My dark brown bumper should be coming soon & that will help separate the whites just perfectly!

When I was about 6 months pregnant, I laid awake all night planning my nursery! I am in love with the owl. Also, check out our cute little bird family above the square! We painted the stripes the same color, just different glosses to add more depth.

To the left of the owl I will put up our baby's name.....as of right now, she's nameless- so sad!

If you have read my blog at all before, you know I am an avid garage saler! I bought the shelf for 50 cents and gave it a good chocolate brown face-lift! I then put my little baby block together today! Sure love having a vinyl machine laying around.

My sweet mom brought down a dresser for us to use for the baby's room...all to realize just how small our nursery really is! Thank heavens our home has the built in closet organizers. The other half the closet if full of diapers, wipes, bottles, ect! Also, thank heavens for my wonderful sis-in-law that give us lots of newborn girl clothes.

(We had forgot what a puker our second child was until we opened our box of newborn clothes to find a box of yellow clothes...nasty.)

I plan on spending lots of time in this comfy chair- snuggling my sweet baby & trying to keep at least one eye opened!

I will still be taking vinyl orders, especially with the Holidays around the corner! However, I plan on taking this month off! Feel free to place orders now- as I will work on them in the order I receive them (said in my 'robotic phone voice')!

My good friend, Melissa (shout out), gave me this great idea of a Growth Chart! After finally painting our hallway, I was dying to get it up! Check it out! It was super easy and jazzed up our boring little hallway space in a flash!

Remember- baby time is around the corner! I am taking orders through August. After that I will need some time to do a whole lot of smooching, cuddling, rocking, and lovin'!

Summer Lovin'

Here's a fun way to combine summer + school! The girls each picked out their own balls. We made Bostyn's a 'Sight Word Ball' and Kams an 'Alphabet Ball'! They LOVE them! Rules: You have to read the words/letters that your thumbs land on when you catch the ball! For Bostyn: if she lands on her own name then she gets to choose 2 sight words to read :). For Kams: if she lands on her letter (k), then she gets to choose 2 letters to say! They think it's fabulous! The vinyl stands out better than the marker, but I was way too lazy to cut all of those words in vinyl! This fall I will be doing a color ball (with vinyl polka-dots) and a shape ball for Kams at-home preschool! Happy Learning!

Have a few spots in your house that your just not quite sure what to do with? Vinyl is a great filler! Take this adorable frame, for example. I was kind of lost as to what to put in the middle. Then I shuffled through a few vinyl designs and found the perfect one! Easy, cute, and just a touch fancy :).

My sweet sister made me a clock long ago- I loved it from day one. However, our many moves were just a little too hard on it & it ended up scratched and dinged. So I revamped it with a fabric cover and some vinyl for the numbers! We're in love again! I've added a little something around it and will post soon! Happy Vinyl to you!

Dear Readers,

Is there any chance you could still be out there? It may seem like I abandoned you, left you to finish your own craftiness alone; however, I have some GOOD excuses.....really, they're pretty good! First, you are were all so loyal over the holidays that I was quite the vinyl elf through the end of December. January came and I promised my little fingers that I would let them rest one WHOLE month! Well, during that magical month of January a little something else decided to require my rest & it continued to demand my rest through March! Have you guessed what this little rest hog might be? You're right! A BABY! We're beyond thrilled to bring another baby our way; however, my body was not thrilled for the first 3 months & continues to somewhat struggle with the idea of having this baby :). That's a pretty good excuse for such a break though, right?

I hope that soothes your feelings of vinyl loneliness. If not, let me bribe your love with one adorable idea for Mother's Day! (a super THANKS goes to Kristin for the pot, so sweet of her) We planted our seeds last weekend and watch every morning for something so peak through. However, you could start with a plant in your pot- giving immediate satisfaction! I spray painted the pot blue, but the options are endless! Let your cute kiddos paint it for Grandma, do hand prints, or do your own unique design!

The saying, 'Mother, all flowers remind me of you!' comes from my favorite favorite Primary Song. It is sang often in our home! Even though my mind has been racing with Christmas crafts- I just can't get too ahead of myself. So let's begin with Thanksgiving! My mom-in-law has a Christmas tradition where we each write down some of our many blessing and put them in the jar/basket/bowl. We love the reminder of how richly blessed we have been & love the tradition; however, I figured it is just as well suited for Thanksgiving. So the 'Gratitude Jar' is dedicated to my mom-in-law!

I attached the paper with a metal ring- so there would be NO excuses for not writing your blessings (ahem....boys of the family).

After taking a few month off, we're back and ready to dive into my mile-high pile of crafts! However, first we must get back into with a GIVEAWAY!

basic vinyl Tutorial

If you are not familiar with the application of vinyl, it can seem kind of tricky. I have put together a quick & simple tutorial of the basic vinyl sign we offer (with an overlay)!

Behind the Scenes

Once I have designed your order on my software, I then hook the machine up to the computer and let the cutting begin.

After which I detach your vinyl phrase and begin the WEEDING process (the fancier the font, the more complicated this step becomes). This is where I remove all excess vinyl from your cut out phrase.

I then place the saying onto APPLICATION TAPE (which is a fancy way of saying over sized masking tape), cut excess tape, and rub!

Passed off to You

This is most likely the way your vinyl looks when you receive your order. From here you would need to re-rub over all the letters (especially the dots of 'i's and any small punctuation). Then, starting from a corner and pulling in a diagonal, you would slowly remove the application tape. You WANT the vinyl letters to come up with the tape.

Next, you need to gently place your vinyl onto it's hard surface (if placing on a wall make sure to have points marked out before). *HINT* Only place down the corners of tape only (no letters behind it) while you figure out your centering. Once centered and straight, rub over the letters again (once again giving all dots an extra rub)!

Finally, pulling in a diagonal, slowly remove the application tape and you are FINISHED! YEAH!

~To do an 'over-lay': Repeat the above process; only this time centering it in accordance with first phrase placed.

Happy April GIVEAWAY! I am cuddled up with my little one, under a warm cozy blanket on the second day of April. Does Mother Nature have a sense of humor or what? However, the plus side of this bitterly cold weather is that I've stayed indoors and finished some projects! Which brings me to this month's giveaway:

I have loved having this very classy version of a white board to keep me organized. I am loving it so much that I made a 'mini' version for the giveaway! If you are like me, than you often lay in bed thinking of all of your 'to-do's' that you need to add to your list. I hate this nightly ritual. By the time my brain remembers all of the things I need to do the next day, I am so warm and comfy in my big bed that I refuse to crawl out into the cold to write them down! This mini glass board is the answer to our problems. Just keep it (and a dry-erase marker) by your bed & you will be more productive than ever! However, I must admit I was also tempted to cut 'love notes' in vinyl with the plan of leaving it on my husband's side of the bed. That way I could write him sweet nothings every night.....it's the thought that counts, right?

Directions for Glass dry-erase Board

*I found my picture frame (11x15) at Wal*Mart, of course! I also scored the fabric there as well. I bought 1/2 yard, which was plenty! Try to choose a fabric that has a soft,light pattern so your list won't be hard to read.
*There are two ways to apply the fabric:

-I chose to hot glue the fabric to the matt that came with the frame. I then placed blank white sheets of computer paper between the matt and fabric so the outline of the matt wouldn't be visible. Replace matt and put backing on...wa-la!

-For the smaller board I hot glued fabric directly on the backing. I then placed it on my sewing matt and used an exact-o knife to cut excess off! wa-la!

I used a small glass pop bottle. Filled with decorated paper, conversation hearts, valentine m&m's. We then put on our VINYL heart with their name cut out of the center. so easy, so cute, so fun!

Crock Pot Chicken
4 chicken breasts
1 cube butter
1 pkg dry Italian Mix
--Cook in crock pot for 3 hours on low, turn on high for an additional hour. 1/2 hour before serving add:
1 pkg cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken
--Serve over rice.
Mock-Chocolate Eclairs
1 lg pkg instant vanilla pudding
3 c. milk
1 container of cool whip
1 box Graham crackers
--mix pudding & cool whip. Let set. spray 9x13 pan. Layer crackers, pudding, crackers, pudding, crackers.
1 cube butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
--Boil milk, cocoa, sugar, salt for 1 minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter & vanilla. Let cool & coat on cake.

My dear Mother-in-law gave me this wonderful idea for the Tile Welcome! It turned out so classy and I have loved it! Definitely a new favorite of mine!
